Hello,

I have attached a post I wrote that creates a .htm setup sheet (was done in v16 sp5 so it probably will not work in earlier versions). I tried to add some comments to it to explain what different sections are doing.
If it helps someone out - great. If anyone can add to it and post it back here that would be really great. I have had too many different issues with addin's not working from one version of software to another (not specific to FC, this always seems to be an issue when using the API in software at some point) so I decided to try it this way.
Be warned - I am not some code guru and this is a work in progress. What I have works OK for me so far but may not for how you do things. If you want to try it, I'll try to answer any questions as best I can.
One thing this does that I really like, is only list the drilling once for a pattern of holes. So if you drill 200 holes with the same drill it will only show up once on the setup sheet, not the 200 times like the operation list or the other setup sheet.bas files I have used.
I have also attached a copy of what the post creates.
The Setupsheet.zip is a zipped .htm file. If you unzip it and open the file this is what the post outputs.
Change the .zip to .cnc on the Mills Setup Sheet.zip and you should be able to look at and use the post.

Dan

Hi Xavier,

Thanks for the kind words.

I have cleaned it up a bit since I posted. I added some cellpadding and changed table border to make it look better. I also added the name of the feature from FC and a column that reports the P1 variable so I can use it to post longer instructions (the variables seem to allow more characters than the comments field allows). And, of course, I added our company logo at the top.

I would like to be able to retrieve the run time for each operation also but I haven't figured out how to do that. I did not look to hard yet but I did not see any where that it was passed to Xbuild. Also I would like to get rid of the > in the setup instruction section but that is coming from the vb carriage return/line feed (vbCrLf) in the setup notes.bas and I am not sure how to remove it completely.

So far though it works good for me.

Dan

Hi allez,

Here is the post and what you see in the browser when you open it (I use IE8). You will need to unzip the "CNC Mill Setup Sheet" file and in it there is a .mht file you can open. The post saves it as a .htm, but I saved it as a .mht to try to retain the logo.
To use the post you need to change Setup Sheet_v16sp5.zip to Setup Sheet_v16sp5.cnc
